As a Engineering Technician I provide technical knowledge and expertise in the functional electrical testing of power delivery equipment in a manufacturing environment. It is required to implement test plans and procedures for Siemens product lines of low voltage circuit breakers, relays, and transformers. I ensure all switchgear units perform its proposed electrical functions in a satisfactory manner by testing all functions using equipment such as multimeters, Hi-pot, and ratiometers. I am required to inspect, troubleshoot, and make repairs as needed to all units built. I also use statistical methods to identify problems and give a detailed report on defects discovered and repaired. Working productively in a team environment to increase productivity and quality assurance of products.

Dallas/Fort Worth Area

Responsible for driving performance and process improvement activities to assure the delivery of high quality products and services in a locomotive manufacturing environment. I owned the process compliance and quality for the shop and had to monitor and improve the quality metrics for the shop. I oversaw defining, implementing and managing crucial processes to meet customer quality expectations and internal quality expectations. I used six sigma methodology and root cause analysis daily to improve quality and identify and eliminate defects. I also owned the non-conforming process for supplier parts that did not meet required specifications.

Dallas/Fort Worth Area

Required to manufacture quality locomotives by testing the product’s functions as well as monitoring test procedures and equipment. I had to demonstrate a detailed root cause analysis troubleshooting skills, with the ability to evaluate complex electrical components on locomotives, making repairs as needed. Also, required to interpret schematics and drawings. I ensured all locomotives performed its proposed functions in a satisfactory manner by testing all functions. I also used statistical methods to identify problems and give a detailed report on defects.

Greater New Orleans Area

Provided technical knowledge and expertise in the repair and service of all types of power delivery and switchgear apparatus. As a technician, it was required to develop and implement service repair plans, goals, and objectives for all product lines of low voltage and medium voltage circuit breakers. I was required to troubleshoot and perform planned maintenance on power delivery units on customer's site, maintaining positive customer relations. Worked productively in a team environment to increase productivity and quality assurance of products and services.
