After entering the U.S. Army Infantry as a teenager, I eventually transitioned within the Army to the job of Biomedical Equipment Repairer (Advanced) and then Biomedical Electronics Engineer. After leaving active duty I worked in this field for the next twenty years at multiple healthcare facilities around the country. Including Charleston Area Medical Centers in West Virginia, Tanner Medical Systems in Georgia, Lakeland Regional Medical in Florida and John Hopkins Medicine.
