Served as president of the Greater Miami Advertising Federation in 2001 and was awarded the organization’s Silver Medal in 2008 for outstanding contributions in advertising and furthering the industry's standards and creative excellence in areas of social concern.A native of Miami, earned a bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Communications from the University of Florida. Attended LaSalle High School and was the first recipient of the school’s Distinguished Alumni Award. Served two-terms as president of the Coconut Grove Arts Festival – the nation's largest outdoor public arts show – guiding the event to a prestigious #1 ranking in Sunshine Artist Magazine.Previously, served on the executive committee of the Greater Miami Chamber of Commerce's Leadership Miami program, and chaired the 47th annual Junior Chamber World Congress, which attracted more than 7,000 delegates from over 100 countries to Miami in November of 1992. Has been honored by Miami-Dade County and the Greater Miami Convention and Visitors Bureau for his efforts in promoting Miami as a destination.
