A highly experienced Detective Constable, I have more than nineteen years experience working within the Criminal Investigation Department (CID) on major investigations including murders, rapes and frauds.Currently engaged as an Accredited Financial Investigator, part of a busy team working within Devon & Cornwall Constabulary’s Financial Investigation Unit, Truro, and have always held a passion for this type of analytical investigatory work.Over the course of the last nine years, working under the provisions of the Proceeds of Crime Act 2002 (accredited with Part 2,5 & 8 powers), I have acquired extensive experience in investigating acquisitive crimes, many of which have involved both National and International enquiries.The continuance of my professional development working within the guidance of the Proceeds of Crime Act 2002, keeping up to date with Continued Personal Development (CPD) within the Financial Investigation Support System (FISS). I am a qualified F.I Tutor and have kept abreast of new stated cases and best practice in order to provide the best possible advice when called upon.Over the course of my career I have developed essential systematic case management skills in gathering evidence and the preparation of case material.Excellent communication skills have enabled me to collaborate closely with other professionals such as barristers, solicitors and accountants on a daily basis. I decided to put something back into the sport so I commenced my coaching qualifications in 2006 and over the next few years attained Level 3. I am currently being mentored by England Athletics on the National Coach Development Programme.

As member of the British Milers Club and I am the Regional Secretary (South West) and race organiser. This involves organising five athletic meetings in Exeter between April and August each year. The races include 800m, 1500m and 3000m. All races are graded based on ability. Each meeting attracts on average 100+ athletes from as far as South Wales, Midlands, South Coast to Cornwall.I also sit on the National British Milers Club Committee as assistant meeting organiser and Child Protection Officer.

Involved on the Cornwall Schools Athletic Association since October 2004 initially as Cross Country Secretary and in 2006 I also took on the role as treasurer.Responsible for organising the County Schools Cross Country Championships for all Secondary and Independent Schools across the County. This covers around 42 Schools. Entries each year average in excess of 500 athletes from as far as The Isles of Scilly to the North of the County such as Bude.I am along with other committee members responsible for selecting County Track & Field and Cross Country representative teams.Additionally I am the lead Team Manager and responsible for the welfare of all athletes under the athletic Child Protection policy.

A very enjoyable time in the Royal Air Force. I met loads of great people, many of which formed good friendships. I probably spent more time competing/training for the RAF Athletics/Cross Country Team, than i did in the work shops (GEF).I represented the RAF many times in the Eighties. Those were the days of Steve Jones, Roger Hackney, Julian Goater and many many more fantastic endurance runners.
