I retired from Viewpoint on March 1st, 2019. In Fall 2019 I will be available for short-term engagements for C# or SharePoint development and admin. I have experience building SharePoint apps, including on the SPFx framework.I was a member of the Information Services department at Viewpoint Construction Software. As such I was responsible for the company's data integrity in several in-house and cloud systems. I utilized C# / .NET and web services extensively and shared responsibility for enhancing our NetSuite ERP system. I came to Viewpoint in 2007 when I learned they were beginning a retool of their popular construction application set using .NET technology. I joined a small team that developed the architecture and infrastructure and then provided VB .NET training for others. At the same time I was a part-time instructor at Portland Community College. I taught VB .NET and C# many times and I also taught Microsoft courses on the .NET Framework and web services.My software career was built with experience in several technologies and job responsibilities. I've always worked at the software application level, but in may capacities. Most of my experience is actually designing and writing code. But I spent several years in project lead, supervisory and manager positions before returning to programming. I got a lot of satisfaction from teaching Microsoft certified courses at PCC for several years. My specialties are application programming for Windows and web environments, utilizing C#, the .NET Framework, ASP .NET, web services, SQL Server, and scripting. I help administer our NetSuite CRM system. I really enjoy administering our SharePoint intranet and developing web parts for it.
