I am a professional research scientist with a PhD in astrophysics. I have extensive research experience whose methods and techniques are applicable to a wide variety of industries. My professional training began with teaching, guided research, publications, awards, and presentations to various audiences at national and international conferences and collaboration meetings. I have extensive hands-on experience addressing calibration issues of laboratory equipment including the application of techniques to quantify and characterize the transmission properties of coupling media between organic scintillators and fiber optics as a function of readout. My strong analytic skills and unique ability to explain complex concepts in clear, understandable terms are appreciated by my students, audiences at colloquia, and the faculty members at George Mason University with whom I collaborate. I possess a strong work ethic as well as a deep understanding of science and mathematics, I am as comfortable working with electronic hardware as I am at solving differential equations. I strive to create a high-quality work product in any environment.Currently, I am actively involved in the acquisition and analysis of integrated exposures of nebulae and galaxies in the night sky.
