John Kurowski’s work and experience in the law and social justice covers more than 40 years. Today he leads a team of outstanding lawyers throughout the country at MG+M that provide unique and superior services to businesses in America and abroad. Often retained to handle some of the most complex litigation in the country, his team focuses on evaluation and strategic management of civil litigation risks of the business of his clients. He has tried more than 75 jury trials to verdict. He brings a wealth of experience in toxic torts, asbestos, commercial matters along with education and government matters. He has been selected to serve as national coordinating counsel for a variety of entities over the past 25 years. He serves four major entities as NCC in the United States. Today he also manages the firm's international litigation and European affiliation with SLSLEX in Italy. John takes pride in teaching and giving back. On two occasions, he has been a Visiting Professor of Law at the Nicolaus Copernicus University School of Law and Administration in Torun, Poland. He is the creator, organizer and sponsor of a widely acclaimed annual Human Rights Symposium at Copernicus, focusing on international social justice issues that has been held annually since 2006.He was a Board member of the Greater St. Louis Chapter of JDRF from 2008-2022 and served as Board President from 2018-2020.. He served on the Finance Committee of the International Board of Directors of JDRF. He continues to serve on its Professional Advisors Network and provides pro bono legal services to its international office in New York.He and his wife, Connie, are members of the Society of Fellows of the Aspen Institute and the Ignatian Legacy Fellows and participate in their programs throughout the year..He received his B.A. degree with Honors from Loyola University Chicago, graduating cum laude in History in 1975. He also attended the Loyola University John Felice Rome Center in Rome, Italy in 1973-1974. He received his law degree from St. Louis University in 1978. He is a member of the Dean's Advisory Council of the College of Arts and Sciences of Loyola University Chicago. He has been a member of the Director's Advisory Council of Loyola's John Felice Rome Center and was President of its Alumni Board from 2012-2015. In June, 2013 Loyola presented Mr. Kurowski its John Felice Award in recognition of his contributions to the Rome Center, Loyola and to business and his community.He is licensed to practice law in Illinois, Missouri and New York.
