During this time of leadership, I managed Short’s role in the successful World Equestrian Games, held in Lexington, Kentucky, which was attended by 400,000 plus spectators and netted over 26 million dollars in sales revenue for the central Kentucky region. This was accomplished through a well-defined and logistic management process through group ticket sales, hotel commissions from 150-plus hotels, private home leasing, car service contracts and campground rentals. Oversaw the process to manage accommodations for athletes, sponsors, media, international and domestic groups, and individuals attending the World Games. During this same time, I successfully developed the marketing plan and launch of Short’s proprietary event online hotel and car booking tool. Worked with organizations such as the NCAA, Bluegrass Sports Association, the KC ASA organization and the FFA Foundation. Show less
