• Undertaking civil design drafting for the North West Rail Link Operations and Train Systems project within the Design Joint Venture located at the Macquarie Park office.• Duties involved drawing set-up in both model and paper space, manipulating, adjusting and amending drawings by use of x-refs, and using annotative scale.• Carrying out drafting on civil works packages including roads infrastructure, covering pavement plans, pavement details, road signage, cross sections, and general arrangement plans. Also working on drainage infrastructure plans including detail plans, earthworks, and fencing plans. Preparation of information documents with regard to vehicular turn paths. • Utilizing Project Wise for the management and storage of drawings, and liaising with engineers and lead drafters regarding updates and amendments to drawings.

Contract role for 3 months.

Design drafting of In Building Coverage Distributed Antenna System (IBC DAS) designs for commercial and Optus sites in AutoCAD and Visio for preliminary, detail design, and as built documentation. Preparation of bill of materials for equipment required in IBC In Building Coverage projects, and preparing Power Budgets and Cable tables involving analysis of designs and test results. Liaising with RF Systems Managers and Engineers in regards to project requirements, amendments and completed documentation via e-mail and telephone. Communicating with senior drafter in regards to workload and setting time frames for projects.

• Drafting and amendment of CAD plans for telco engineering designs including layouts, schematics and detail designs, from concept through to completion. Drawings were carried out in the Communications & Control Systems division.• Converting plans from other software (Visio & Excel) into AutoCad and amending and producing working documents.• Utilizing lotus notes for drawing management and corresponding with engineers via e-mail in reference to drawing production.• Updating database with regard to movement of drawings.• Utilizing GIS to update drawings in regards to the status of a bay in a room layout. Also producing and updating of rack layouts.

• Drafting of layout and detail of engineering plans using AutoCAD from concept through to completion for various land development projects.• Preparing plans for subdivision, road and drainage design, potable and recycled water and sewer design.• Correspondence to clients, councils and various authorities via e-mail and letter with regard to amendments, approval and release of plans.• Assisting in the water service coordinating process of Section 73 and Building Plan Approvals with regard to scanning, storing and preparation of documentation for submittal within Sydney Water’s E-developer process.• Preparation of tender requests to contractors in reference to various projects.

•Drafting of layout and detail of civil engineering plans using AutoCAD 2007 & 2008, from DA to CC stage in reference to road, subdivision and drainage design. Plans were prepared for various land development and infrastructure projects. Duties also included detailing of cross sections, long sections and sediment control plans. • Liaison with clients and contractors with regard to design and construction options and methods in reference to sewer and water reticulation.• Communicating with Sydney Water representatives via telephone and email in reference to release of documentation, testing and approvals.• Preparation of documentation for submittal within Sydney Water’s E-developer process.• Design of minor works sewer reticulation, and design preparation of major works sewer and water reticulation design. • Download relevant Hydra information and prepare and lodge application for Sect 73 Certificate.• Act as a single point of contact for all case related matters relevant to the developer and contractors.• Preparation of design documentation including Review of Environmental Factors, Inspection and Test Plans and checklists.•Updating registers, project tracking, account keeping and general administration duties associated with the major works, minor works and quality assurance processes.• Addressing customer enquiries from potential clients, both over the telephone and counter with respect to surveying and engineering aspects.
