Quality Assurance Inspector-Calibration Technician
CurrentQuality Assurance Inspector 1994-PresentJob duties include final inspection in the quality department of over 30 different medical product families using geometric dimension and tolerancing to make final disposition of product to the customer. Equipment used for inspection of product includes the use of calibrated coordinate measuring machines, optical comparators, surface finish testers, and other small hand measuring equipment as calipers, micrometers, height gages, depth indicators, etc... These inspections occurr in an extremely fast paced working environment where incoming jobs to quality assurance are required to be inspected and go for final shipment to the customer in the same day. During these inspections, all aspects of the device history record for each individual job is reviewed and audited for completeness and accuracy in accordance to ISO 13485 and ISO 9001 standards. Calibration Technician 2004-PresentJob duties include the calibration and scheduling of over 1500 pieces of calibrated equipment throughout the plant facility with final interpretation of calibration reports logged into a Gagetrak software calibration system. Equipment calibrated, scheduled, and logged include optical comparators, coordinate measuring machines(CMM's), thread gaging, plug gaging, customer supplied gaging, special internal made gaging, calipers, micrometers, indicators, depth indicators, furnace controllers, furnace recorders, furnace thermocouples, pressure gages, scales, and tensile testers. Verification of internal, external, and on-site calibrations are done to make sure that all internal calibrations follow ISO 13485 and ISO 9001 standards while also verifying that calibration subcontractors adhere to ISO 17025 calibration standards.
