Built the regional management team, marketing team and customer service organization. Part of team that negotiated prime position with the two largest distribution organizations in the hospital and physicians office marketplaces. Initiated a nationwide public relations campaign that got the company and the products chronicled twice in the New York Times, once in Parade Magazine and a feature story on CNN Health segment by Dr. Gupta. Led the team that developed the national symposia for the cardiology community that was featured at the American Heart Association annual meeting in 2005 with speakers from Brigham and Womens and The Cleveland Clinic.

Company manufactured large scale switchgear components during the major expansion of the power grid during the 1990's. During this period John raised approximately $5MM in venture capital funding to support additional acquisitions. Major initiatives included expansion of production capacity and introduction of an integrated leadership/quality initiative that improved productivity gains by nearly 30% . Reconfigured production planning and quality systems to remove bottlenecks while improving output for the facility. Served as Board Member on the national association.

Built a new sales and marketing team to construct a nationwide franchise for rapid testing as a part of occupational health centers. Created the marketing and public relations campaign that drove the demand from employers into the occupational health networks that contracted with Biosite to perform the testing service. Testified before the United States Congressional Sub-comittee on the nature of this type of testing and its long term value to business and academic community

Biotech startup that brought the first rapid immunoassay to the Emergency Medicine community and established the pace for all Point of Care testing companies for the next 15 years. Company moved Top 200 fastest growing companies in Inc. Magazine in 1994 to the 14th in the 1996 list. Established a strong network within the hospital community for 6 states and successfully motivated a team of 14 distribution representatives.
