Project Ended• Responsible for overseeing facility project completion and engineering support of a $40MM project located in Tijuana, MX; including architecture, electrical and mechanical design, and equipment installation.• Liaison between Los Angeles and Tijuana facility with physical time spent between both locations• Designed, built, and successfully tested a new rainwater reclaiming system to reduce the environmental footprint at the new plant in Tijuana.• Designed a new aluminum recycling line improving the quality of the final product which in turn raised profit while reducing labor.• Ensured project group worked in compliance with quality and safety procedures. • Provided troubleshooting, maintenance, site support, and corrective actions for technical issues.• Assist in developing specifications, designs, schedules & cost references to management.• Provide support to sales and marketing and serve as a technical liaison where necessary including presentations & providing expertise for new applications and providing solutions to their issues.• Define, evaluate, recommend, and implement complex design solutions for metal recycling equipment.• Provided innovative designs of parts, assemblies, and systems, including technical drawings in AutoCAD and 3D CAD using Solidworks.• Designed and created manufacturing drawings for custom fabricated parts • Responsible for quotes and outside contractor partnership and project management.• Monitored and controlled assigned work scope against project plan• Reviewed and approved project phases for completeness and accuracy.• Ensured effective change control and identified risks / opportunities.• Identified improvement opportunities and managed implementation.
