Manager of Housing Supply for transitional and public housing across New Zealand via Transitional Housing Providers and Community Housing Providers (CHPs). Managing a team of 20+ across Auckland and Wellington in the delivery of supported housing under the Government’s Public Housing Plans 2018-2022 & 2021-24. The Ministry of Housing and Urban Development (HUD) is the Government’s lead advisor on housing and urban development. It will deliver the Government’s housing and urban development programme to end homelessness, make room for growth in our urban centres, and help create thriving communities.

I am a business development manager in the Housing Supply, Response and Partnerships group who focuses on funding the delivery of public housing, transitional housing, and housing related support services to tackle homelessness in New Zealand. A fixed term contract in the Auckland restructuring teamI monitored a large scale dairy farming operation which had entered into a standstill deed with its financier. This role involved managing a client/financier relationship and ensuring an asset sell down programme was undertaken and key milestones met. I work with the client to prepare cash flow forecasts and prepared monitoring reports to stakeholders. I also completed an organisation restructure of a large religious based institution based in Auckland. This involved undertaking a staff restructure along with the implementation of a more detailed financial reporting system.

Our engagements predominantly came from banks and corporates and were relationship driven, therefore there was a constant need to be investing, building and maintaining strong relationships across a broad range of people. My role incorporated: • Restructuring - all aspects of restructuring advisory work including independent appraisals, performance monitoring, restructuring support and guidance, receiverships and liquidations• Advisory - Preparation of Information Memorandums and related documentation for the sale of businesses and the completion of sale and purchase agreements• Change management – driving change with businesses, including a one year secondment to Te Wananga Aotearoa as part of the Crown Manager team responsible for restructuring this large tertiary provider• Financial analysis – analysing financial statements and provide clear and concise views • Report writing - providing recommendation to client on changes required to their business
