As Plant Operations Manager I was responsible for every facet of the business. Our team was personally responsible for turning around the inside sales department an implementing SOP's to streamline and make the department more effective and efficient. I implemented a training program for the department that allowed for the team to build on their product knowledge and technical skills. These changes made had a direct effect on sales and customer service in a very positive way. As we continued to see these improvements I was tasked in training our sales force in Toronto to implement a number of these same processes. We sold through a distributor network which comprised all of North and South America which included over 1000 accounts. During part of my tenure I was responsible for the functions and process related tasks for ISO 9000/2001. As a reward to all off the hard work and confidence that was built and with the business growing I was promoted to Plant Operations Manager. In my 7 years as Plant Manager I along with my team were very successful in putting the plant in a position to not only be more successful but run more effectively and efficiently which in turn allowed us to cut costs an enable higher profit margins. I was heavily involved in sales, customer service and customer development through out my entire tenure with Metaris Corp. with the emphasis always placed on quality of product, delivery, customer satisfaction, and a respect for the teams built and their prospective managers.
