CurrentInvestigating promising emerging technologies for potential inclusion in utility portfolio, including data analytics interface with computerized maintenance management systems, machine learning in building controls systems, smart electric vehicle charging, advanced metering infrastructure, CO2 heat pump/water heater systems, phase-change and standard energy storage, district heating and cooling. Partnering with national laboratories, gathering data on field tests of new technologies.Developing tools and standards for improving analysts’ quality and consistency in measurement & verification (M&V) planning and tracking. Establishing institutional alignment with IPMVP and ASHRAE Guideline 14 standards.Performing technical review for the largest custom projects to establish and maintain defensible standards for claimed energy savings. Serving on Electric Power Research Institute (EPRI) Power Utilization Advisory Council, Program 170. Serving on utility-wide culture change teams, addressing issues brought to light by employee surveys.Serving on Electric League of the Pacific Northwest executive board. Helped plan 2017 “Powerful Business Energy Conference”. Also served as session administrator and moderator. Developed division’s first safety protocols, procedures, training requirements and documents. Developed process flow diagrams to ensure clear understanding and continuous improvement. Provided trainings to entire division and work groups.
