July 1997 - Present: Formed John Lee & Associates, Inc. A commercial/industrial real estate brokerage firm in Virginia Beach specializing in the sales, leasing and acquisition of select industrial office/warehouse properties throughout the Hampton Roads area.November 1994, joined Goodman Segar Hogan Hoffler in the Brokerage Division as Vice President, Industrial Properties.1990 - 1994, Senior Vice President and Marketing partner with Ellis Development Company (a regional commercial/industrial developer headquartered in Virginia Beach, Virginia). Directed marketing program. During this period, the firm developed and leased over one million square feet of office and industrial space in the Hampton Roads area.1984 - 1990, Vice President, Industrial Properties at Goodman Segar Hogan. While associated with Goodman Segar Hogan, Mr. Lee sold/leased in excess of three million square feet. From 1985 to 1990, Lee was the exclusive marketing agent for the 500-acre Greenbrier Commerce Park in Chesapeake, Virginia.His accomplishments during this period included the sale of a 85-acre parcel to the Mitsubishi Company of Japan and, with his partners, the development and leasing of numerous office/warehouse properties in the Greenbrier area. Mr. Lee was the company's top producer for Sales and Leasing from 1988 - 1990. He was recognized by the Commercial Board of Realtors as the number one producer in commercial real estate brokerage for the Hampton Roads area in 1988.1981 - 1984, Marketing Representative, Armada/Hoffler Development Company. Marketing Representative of the Year, 1982 (leasing of office/industrial space). Named Vice President Armada/Hoffler Development Company, 1983.
