I began my working life in a textile mill at 17. I stayed for 2 years, building lasting relationships with colleagues I still maintain to this day. I started on the workshop floor in the yarn department before moving into the finishing of the cloth. I was then exposed to the administration of the company within a year, gaining qualifications and spending time in meetings learning to voice my opinions and the opinions of my colleagues on the shop floor as a spokesperson at just 18. I believe these experiences were and still are invaluable in my development in the workplace. It was an excellent induction into the working world before my first opportunity into automotive sector arose; beginning an apprenticeship as a paint technician. After 6 months I was then able to secure a position at Autoglass Body Repair as a Mobile SMART Repair Technician. I spent nearly 4 years there learning from the other technicians, honing my skills as a painter and repairer. After my time there I spent time at various bodyshops, further expanding my knowledge and taking on larger jobs, including multiple full resprays. After myself and my partner made our move from Harrogate to Morley, we made the decision to take the leap and open our doors in March of this year. Since opening, the business has gone from strength to strength with multiple car dealerships and an ever growing retail customer base helping our business grow. We are now looking to move into the insurance sector to continue our businesses growth, seeking partners to secure insurance work as we enter 2025 where we look to take our business to the next level.
