Writing the training manual and competency assessment for a complex site. Running access reports and analysing data to provide reports to clients, identify suspects or provide statistics. Solving complex access control problems to ensure the integrity of the system while giving the best access solution to staff, contractors and clients.

Using the SiPass alarm and access control system. Programming alarm classes, running audits and investigation. Developing access solutions. Author of the comprehensive Security Officer manual and competency assessment guide.

Once a leader of three sections: Joey Scouts, Cub Scouts and Scouts running the new program from the Youth Program Review 'The Adventure Begins'. Formerly Group Leader and leader of adults with Diploma of Business and Leadership. Previously set up Scout Archery and the instructor manual running hundreds of shoots over seven years

Scout Archery in SA was redeveloped post AJ2004. With the Woodhouse Activity Shed set up in 2007 the pile of old bows and arrows inspired us to get trained as Archery Instructors, do the risk assessment and write the new safety standards for archery in scouts. We developed a portable indoor range and delivered archery to thousands of scouts. We were given independence from Archery SA to train our own Archery Instructors and I wrote out own manual. We went as far as Canberra to train Scout Leaders to be Archery Instructors. I wrote the Australian Adventurous Activity standard for Archery before calling it a day.

From the start of the AFP there was much Diplomatic and Consular Security work, basically guarding in the Protective Service component. Transitioning into General Policing in the ACT doing regular uniformed police work. Then specialising in community policing implementing Neighbourhood Watch (Commissioners Commendation). From there to Industrial Relations Division mainly implementing OHS&W and working with consultative councils (Another Commendation). Next, promoted to Sergeant Training Division in Curriculum & Staff Development. Went as far as Vanuatu training police trainers. Developed the competencies for police and implemented new training methods. Finally back into uniform at Tuggeranong Station with a gun, fast car and blue lights. Did an intelligence Officer course and held my own with police officers who had been on the road for years, a bit jealous that I had been promoted ahead of them. Retired to go back to Adelaide with young family.
