John Leger is an innovative leader who most recently led a multinational Research and Development team providing design solutions for all new products, sustaining activities, and cost improvements. The team utilized computer-aided design (CAD), Product Lifecycle Management (PLM), and Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software to deliver world-class product designs around the globe.With over a decade in Engineering, Design, Continuous Improvement, NPI, and Manufacturing, John utilizes servant leadership to guide his teams from concept to launch. Embedded throughout the process, John’s various teams listen to the voice of the customer and often work alongside the customer to ensure all designs meet their true needs resulting in value for all parties involved. Throughout the process, innovative thinking is encouraged to defeat the status quo, regularly placing barriers to entry such as Design & Utility Patents. John’s approach to design solutions has resulted in 19 US patents granted as of 2023 with additional submittals pending from his current designs. Given his experience and methodology, John can lead any team to generate new customer-centric products in any industry.In addition to John’s technical skills and experience, he has a passion for growing and developing each person he interacts with, which has allowed his teams to flourish. Everyone can grow to contribute more, often referencing his background in Kaizen for continuous improvement, even one percent improvement each day results in significant growth over the course of one year. As growth requires challenge, each year kicks off by setting a new vision and goals for the team to achieve together. While the challenges are initially viewed as daunting, John builds his teams in a manner that has the team trust in one another, creating a strong sense of belonging which resulted in record-setting team success. Similarly, John continues to walk alongside those around him at his local church, through the volunteer opportunities presented. This not only gives John the ability to build others up but also to continue broadening his understanding of how each person has different backgrounds and life experiences that should be considered. John’s Bachelor’s degree in Science from Texas A&M and unique approach throughout his career will soon be paired with a Master’s degree in Business Administration from Kennesaw State University. The combination of degrees and technical experience provides John with the necessary tools to positively impact any industry while ever improving the company's bottom line.
