I joined Green Cat Renewables Ltd on 09/09/24 as Site Engineer.I left BEAR Scotland on 30/08/24, having completed four years on their Major Bridges Team, focused on Forth Road Bridge (FRB) schemes. I was Category 2 Checker for two network bridge assessments, designer of the CCTV cameras on the main towers and the internal CDM Auditor for major bridge's schemes.I designed the refurbishment scheme for FRB's North Viaduct hanging platform (construction due Oct 2024), which involved modelling the platform's effects on the permanent structure in MIDAS Civil to determine whether it remained fit for purpose or whether strengthening was required.I designed, tendered and project-managed Phase 6 of the Suspended Span Under-Deck Access (SSUDA) permanent walkway refurbishment and strengthening (£1.5m budget). I was appointed Site Representative and liaised with the contractor's Site Manager on a daily basis to assess RAMS, assess Technical Queries (TQs), measure invoices and otherwise deliver the project. I previously worked as Design Engineer and Assistant Site Representative on Phase 4, 4a and 5 during Amey's tenure of the management contract.I am skilled in project planning & management, engineering design, health & safety, construction supervision & management, research & technical report writing, procurement, teamwork, communication and customer service.

Designer - FRB North Viaduct Platform Refurbishment project (£400k) o Wrote the SOI, AIP, DRR, PCI, Specification, BOQ and MoM; designed new staircases and guardrails.o Modelled the effects of the Viaduct Platform (installed 1971) on the permanent bridge structure using MIDAS Civil and determined that strengthening was not required.o Project awaits construction budget.Co-Designer of the FRB Staging Board Edge Protection project (£600k)o Worked alongside contractor’s designer to design and test guardrails to retrofit to the staging boards.o Ensured system complied with standards.
