Responsible as a company officer for management of the internal and contract activities supporting the clinical development of therapeutic monoclonal antibodies. Areas of responsibility include: nonclinical animal pharmacology & toxicology studies; expression cell line selection, cell culture and purification process development; formulation development; production of non-GMP and cGMP compliant bulk drug substance and drug product lots; clinical drug product distribution; regulatory affairs; and QA/QC. In addition, I and a team of 8 other individuals assist in the management of a suite of vendors supporting our manufacturing, regulatory and clinical research activities.Accomplishments: Led or held a principal role in the clinical development of 38 biologic and drug candidates. Of these, three were approved by FDA; these were Rituxan, Zevalin and Tysabri. Presently an a member of a team managing a phase 1b study of a humanized monoclonal anti-semaphorin 4D antibody (pepinemab) enrolling early Alzheimer's subjects, as well as a phase 2 study of pepinemab plus Keytruda enrolling advanced head & neck cancer patients.President and CEO of the John and Elizabeth Leonard Family Foundation.
