The New South Wales Regional Committee of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (ANZCA NSW RC) is involved in training, continuing medical education and issues pertaining to anaesthesia in New South Wales. The Unicorn Foundation is Australia's only not for profit medical charity supporting patients suffering from neuroendocrine (NET) cancers. The mission of the Unicorn Foundation is: to assist and support patients and carers, through support groups and access to networks of expertise; to lobby for access to new and appropriate investigations and treatments; to raise awareness and knowledge of NET cancers within the medical community and general public; to encourage and support Australian based research in the area of NET cancers.

The Agency for Clinical Innovation (ACI) works with clinicians, consumers and managers to design and promote better healthcare for New South Wales.During this time, as the Health Consumer Representative in the Nuclear Medicine Network significant effort and focus was the development of the peptide receptor radionuclide therapy (PRRT) programme using lutetium-177 for the treatment of metastatic (somatostatin receptor positive) neuroendocrine cancers for New South Wales patients. This programme was supported and endorsed by the NSW Department of Health in 2016 and is now delivered at Nuclear Medicine Departments at Royal North Shore Hospital, St Leonards and St George Hospital, Kogarah.

Originally formed in 2010 (supported by Novartis Oncology) by a group of Neuroendocrine Cancer (NETS) groups from around the world during the European Neuroendocrine Tumour Society (ENETS) conference in Berlin. This group was initially charged with raising awareness of NETs globally with the development and promotion of of World Neuroendocrine Cancer Day (WNCAD) that is held annually on November 10.In 2011, it formally became the International Neuroendocrine Cancer Alliance (INCA) with and expanded mandate and mission to become the global advocate for Neuroendocrine Cancer patients and a vision for a world where all neuroendocrine cancer patients get a timely diagnosis, the best care and ultimately a cure.INCA now serves as a global platform to support existing and new patient-focused neuroendocrine groups and advocacy organizations from around the world.
