I provide high level editing services, both print and online. My clients include government agencies, non-government organisations and individuals.My key skills and knowledge include:• high level skills in copyediting, structural editing and proofreading• knowledge of effective writing for the web• high level knowledge of Australian English and Australian editing conventions• understanding of the principles of plain English.I am accredited by the Institute of Professional Editors and a committee member of its South Australian branch.I am also a member of the Australia and New Zealand Society of Indexers and since 2013 have indexed a range of publications.

Key roles included:• Overall responsibility for contract management of the Approved Panel of Providers of student services. The panel consisted of 48 largely non-government, organisations, which provided case management, flexible learning program and mentoring services to disengaged young people. • Review and update of policy and procedures for Flexible Learning Option enrolments, including seeking feedback from a range of stakeholders and negotiation through system-level policy approval processes.• Oversight of a qualitative research project into criminal offending rates for ICAN Flexible Learning Option enrolled students.

A major part of my work related to Innovative Community Action Networks (ICAN), which address the needs of young people who have stopped attending school, through a whole-of-community approach with a learning focus.The aim is to get young people back onto an education/training and earning pathway.I was responsible for oversight of the following evaluations and research projects:• Validity and reliability testing of the ICAN Engagement Matrix by the Australian Council for Educational Research• Evaluation of ICAN by ARTD Consultants• Cost–benefit analysis of ICAN by Deloitte Access Economics• Evaluation of the Community Flexible Learning Coordinator initiative • Research into criminal offending rates for ICAN Flexible Learning Option enrolled students by the Office of Crime Statistics in the SA Attorney General’s Department.
