FIBER OPTIC AND DATA CABLE TECHNICIAN ACTIVE SECRET CLEARANCE EXPERIENCE • Skilled in the installation, termination and splicing of Fiber Optic Cabling Systems and Category 6 Systems, as well as a full range of Fiber Optic testing and troubleshooting scenarios.• Fiber Optic connector experience includes UniCams and hand polishing of anaerobic type connectors. • Fiber Optic splicing experience includes identifying and retrieving Fiber Optic Cables from Hand Holes and Man Holes for Fusion Splicing with the Corning M 90 Fusion Splicer.• Fiber Optic testing experience includes Power Meter testing with Seicor and Fluke Power Meters for Optical Loss, the CMA 4000 by GN NetTest OTDR for Optical Path length and Splice Loss.• Fiber Optic troubleshooting experience includes using VFL’s and the CMA 4000 for finding breaks and faults in the Optical Path.• Category 6 experience includes the installation and “Punching Down” Category 6 cabling to Industry standards.• Category 6 troubleshooting and testing experience includes Wire mapping, Toning out and using the Fluke DTX 1800 Cable Analyzer for testing.• Experience with the installation, deployment and connectivity of Cisco and Foundry Networks Routers and Switches. • Experience with light electrical including the installation and planning of conduit pathways and the installation of electrical circuits for communications closets• Experience with VOIP, Time Division Multiplexing and routing of Ethernet Circuits,• Experience with coaxial cabling• Experience with the installation of cable tray of all types• Experience in data center environments
