Preserve's Gimme 5 program recycles #5 plastic at Gimme 5 bins in Whole Foods Markets across the country as well as engaging our partners with source recycled and design for recycling efforts.Preserve Toothbrush - Leading efforts to recover and recycle over 20% of our used toothbrushes, I also led the sustainable design of the Preserve Toothbrush's Mail Back Pack. This package has won several sustainability/design awards (IDSA IDEA Award 2011), reduced costs (>80%), and increased sales (>50%).Recycled Plastic Sourcing - Developing and managing business partners to source recycled plastic for Preserve's supply chain, I lead Preserve's recycled #5 plastic sourcing efforts. Preserve has been one of the first to use post-consumer recycled (PCR) polypropylene in food grade applications.As well, I serve on Preserve's Executive Committee, collaborating in a small executive team to perform general management, bringing to the team a focus on financial management and sustainability.
