John has been a major force in television, advertising and music for over thirty years. His musical themes hit TV series, blockbuster films, certified gold CDs and popular commercial jingles. Recently as EVP of Marketing and Repertoire at BMG, NY, John has been responsible for signing Roger Waters, Rufus Wainwright, Journey, Chicago, Carlos Santana, Huey Lewis, and the News, John Fogerty, Jimmy Jam and Terry Lewis. Starting as music director for Grey Advertising in his late 20s, John was responsible for over 2,000 advertising campaigns as both a composer and producer. John also established himself as a composer for television shows and cartoons. His most famous series, Pokemon, has been broadcast for 17 years with Loeffler supplying the theme song “ Gotta Catch ‘em All” and additional songs and underscores for most of that period.. His other children shows include Yu-Gi-Oh and Mr.Men. Other television shows and sports broadcasts include:, “Poker After Dark” (NBC), National Hockey theme (NBC and the hit sit-com, “Kate and Allie” on CBS. In 2016, John launched Fieldhouse Music, (“The Best Music You’ve Never Heard”) a multi-level music production platform actively involved in seeking “emerging artists”. With over 50 artists Fieldhouse is represented by BMG Music Publishing for licensing and publishing. Currently, John is an acting advising partner to Wonda World Media and Platinum Sound Studios, led by musical composer/producer Jerry Wonda, Their attention is centered on the discovery and development of new, up and coming artists, writers and producers with a primary focus on hip hop and urban music. Jerry and John are also working with the city of Newark to discover young talent and offer a music education and mentorship program for young students, hosted at Platinum Sound. Apart from WWM, John is currently serving as an advising Creative Consultant (2023-present) to Frank McCourt, Executive Chairman of McCourt Global and Project Liberty.His responsibilities include overseeing the release of, “Our Biggest Fight- Reclaiming Liberty, Humanity and Dignity in the Digital Age” by Frank McCourt and Michael Casey on Crown Books. A release date for the book is set for March 2024.
