As the Director of Operations at Financing Enterprise, my primary responsibilities include loan underwriting, team management, team recruitment, training of apprentices, banking services for the company, systems development and payroll services as well as HR assistance. I have helped to develop the skills and careers of several apprentices who were enrolled with the business as well as helping to approve over 2000 loans for customers which allowed them to develop their own small businesses.In my role, I have faced several challenges such as ensuring that our team is aligned with the company’s goals and objectives and delivering high-quality work on time and within budget. To overcome these challenges, I encourage members of staff to develop skills and learn new processes frequently as well as teach their own skills to colleagues to help with development of one another. The environment is kept positive with constant engagement of the staff in various tasks, sharing their tasks and encouraging a collaborative element to their work which may not otherwise exist

With the inception of Financing Enterprise as a delivery partner for the Start Up Loans scheme and my advancing role I took on a smaller role within the North London Credit Union, moving from overall operations to Group Services for NLCU and Financing Enterprise.
