With over 20 years of work experience in cell biology, genomics, and research, I am a leading expert and educator in the field of cancer genetics and stem cell biology. I currently serve as an Associate Professor at the University of Rochester, where I teach and mentor graduate and undergraduate students, and as a Director at the Wilmot Cancer Institute, where I oversee the shared resources and the Genomics Research Center. I have a PhD in Genetics and an MBA in Competitive and Organizational Strategy and Computers and Information Systems, which enable me to combine scientific excellence with business innovation. I have published multiple papers in prestigious journals, such as Cell Stem Cell and Blood, and contributed to the development of novel methods and tools for analyzing small RNA-seq data. I am passionate about advancing the understanding and treatment of cancer and other diseases, and collaborating with diverse and interdisciplinary teams to achieve impactful outcomes.
