With Educational Alliance I advanced rapidly through multiple positions of increasing responsibility and scope in recognition of my quality contributions. In my current position I provide leadership and direction for this program serving over 400 children and families, predominately through Head Start, with high quality early childhood education and family development support. My duties include developing and managing our multi-million-dollar annual budget received from federal, state, city, and foundations, including all required reporting. To ensure quality and consistency of instruction I recruit a qualified leadership management team serving over 90 departmental staff spread across multiple locations. This position in my early career was both fun and rewarding, as I was able to combine my education in marine biology with my passion for teaching in developing curriculum for our outdoor education activities at the Museum, dedicated to teaching science through hands-on learning and developing problem-solving skills. IN addition to my educational role I oversaw the facilities operation to ensure functionality for our educational activities.  Enriched educational programming by incorporating over 50 animal ambassadors including bearded dragons, ferrets, frogs, and hedgehogs. Built and maintained Project Adventure teamwork courses. Conducted team building experiences for children, staff, and outside organizations.

This role was my first full-time position in my desired field of education and combined my love for science. Here I had the opportunity to grow within the field and teach marine science to children from Pre-K to 12th grade in the field aboard our Oyster Sloop, The Christeen.
