CurrentI am a Member in the firm's Anti-Terrorism and Human Rights Practice Group focusing on representing victims of terrorism and victims of international human rights abuses in efforts to stem the tide of financing to terrorist organization and human-rights violators who have caused harm to individuals worldwide. I am involved in all phases of litigation for our cases from filing to trial, and I have represented in civil litigation in federal courts the following sampling of plaintiffs:(1) victims of the September 11, 2001 terrorist attacks; (2) American servicemen and women and government employees or contractors killed or injured in terrorist attacks carried out by terrorist insurgents in Iraq between 2003 and 2011;(3) victims of hundreds of terrorist attacks including numerous suicide bombings in Israel perpetrated by Hamas, the Palestinian Islamic Jihad, the Popular Front for the Liberation of Palestine, the Al-Aqsa Martyrs' Brigades, and others; (4) victims of bombings in Sri Lanka carried out by the Liberation Tigers of Tamil Eelam; (5) child victims of international human trafficking from Bangladesh to the United Arab Emirates who were exploited in the camel racing industry in Dubai; (6) victims of the 2009 bombing of the J.W. Marriott hotel in Jakarta, Indonesia; (7) victims of the 2004 bombing of the Hilton Hotel in Taba, Egypt; (8) family members of victims of Pan Am Flight 103 that was blown up over Lockerbie, Scotland in 1988; (9) victims of Provisional Irish Republican Army terrorism perpetrated in Great Britain and Northern Ireland against the PIRA's primary supplier Libya; and(10) victims of a 2010 fatal bus crash near Aswan, Egypt in which nine people were killed and dozens were injured.
