John Hedlund is an experienced, entrepreneurial, business leader specializing in strategic design, effective application of technology integration, execution, and leadership of large, diverse financial services organizations. He has successfully founded and led numerous businesses through major transformational changes over the past 30 years, displaying a unique ability to drive sustainable revenue growth and cost reductions through innovation, while fostering a loyal and cohesive leadership team. John recently retired from AmeriHome Mortgage where he was the Chief Operating Officer and Managing Director of AmeriHome Mortgage, a Western Alliance Bank Company. John was one of the original founders (2013) of AmeriHome. AmeriHome quickly grew from inception to become the 2nd largest Correspondent Lender in the United States (2022 - $78B, 2023 - $43B and ~$80B in Servicing). In April 2021, John and the executive team completed the sale of AmeriHome to Western Alliance Bank. John founded Adanac Advisory Group (AAG) in 2024, a boutique advisory and consulting firm to share his knowledge and industry expertise, leveraging his broad relationships across the industry to support the “optimization of leaders and businesses vision”. AAG focuses on providing concrete, tangible recommendations to improve your business.Additionally, John is Co-Founder and Chairman for Homerun, a fintech marketplace bringing agents, borrowers and sellers together in a more efficient and cost-effective automated platform.John began his career with Royal Bank of Canada, moving to the US is 2002 to become the COO of RBC Mortgage. John also held executive leadership roles at New Century, Countrywide and Bank of America prior to co-founding AmeriHome Mortgage.
