Lead technical resource and subject matter expert (SME) for HealthLink subsidiary of Anthem. Analyzed issues and modification requests for claim’s processing system and led implementation of requests. Developed cost-saving and efficient modifications using Unidata MultiValue database. Supported rest of IT team as required.- Led newly created Agile team as Scrum Master, shepherding team through initial training and intake phase. Team went through Forming, Storming, Norming, and into Performing phase within 1 year. - Backed up HealthLink Unidata Database Administrator, performing patching, file resizing, and other system updates, ensuring system performance, reliability, and security.- Built ClientAccess (WebRepricer) portal using IBM WebSphere and Java, allowing affiliated insurance companies to reprice claims directly on the HealthLink claims system. Developed Java-based middleware to access Unidata using UniObjects.- Converted 3 portals from IBM WPS to IBM WAS, rewriting many portlets in the process.- Served as point of contact for escalated problems, providing insight and solutions where others have exhausted troubleshooting and research to determine causes of issues.- Established Coding Review Committee, providing forum to perform root cause analysis of production defects and develop proactive measures to prevent future occurrences. - Enhanced audit capabilities for code gatekeepers by creating process to identify and track changes to production Unidata code and report on unauthorized modifications.

Provided technical leadership to IT staff and other departments throughout HealthLink subsidiary of Anthem. Directed projects and other software initiatives.- Led HIPAA 4010 EDI implementation effort, developing new 837 4010 HIPAA-compliant intermediate text file to replace a confusing and bloated previous format. Built process for generating new format out of Unidata database.- Saved failing project which was over budget and >1 year behind schedule by taking over and directing project to completion by its new deadline.- Reduced number of claims suspending from provider matching errors from 11K / month to 600/month by implementing ‘smart’ provider matching logic.- Streamlined outbound EDI process by removing or modifying edits, decreasing claims dropping to paper from 5.4% to 2.6%.
