John is a highly experienced and accomplished senior leader and Chartered Engineer, with a proven track record from over 30 years' consultancy experience in Australia, the UK, the Middle East and Turkey. John relocated to Australia in 2012 to join AECOM and in 2017 was appointed the Group Director – Western Australia, responsible for leading the WA business. As part of this role, he was also in the Northern and Western Australia Senior Leadership Team. He provided strategic leadership and had overall responsibility for commercial and operational management within the region, with business lines comprising Infrastructure Advisory; Transport; Environment; Resources, Power & Industry; Water; and Buildings & Places. He successfully built and cultivated a strong organisational culture with high performing teams, and ensured significant year-on-year revenue growth and a sustainable forward pipeline.Prior to moving into a business-wide leadership role, John progressed through successive leadership positions in both Jacobs and AECOM. He has directed multi-disciplinary teams and major transport, master planning and infrastructure projects for both public and private sector clients. He is also an experienced Expert Witness, having represented clients at Public Inquiries throughout the UK. He has had key roles on major projects including METRONET projects, MAX Light Rail, Canberra Light Rail (Australia), Istanbul Road Tunnel Crossing Project (Turkey), Abu Dhabi Airport Masterplan (UAE), Battersea Power Station Redevelopment and Project Pinewood Masterplan (UK).
