Greetings and welcome to my Profile page. I have over 30 years of experience as a Law Enforcement Professional in the Trotwood & Madison Township Community. I began my career as an EMT at the age of 18 and then transitioned as a Dispatcher and eventually into Law Enforcement as an Auxiliary Officer before beginning a full time career. I worked my way up through the ranks from Patrolman, Detective, Sergeant, Captain, and retiring as Deputy Chief in September of 2016 after accepting the position of Chief of Police with Butler Township here in Montgomery County.I am certified as a general instructor through OPOTA and hold several specialty Instructor Certificates for areas such as Firearms (handgun, rifle, shotgun, specialty munitions-beanbag), Taser, Domestic Violence& STOP’s, and Active Shooter. I have completed the Police Executive Leadership College and am currently working towards a Bachelor’s Degree in Criminal Justice.During my time in Trotwood I worked on a variety of community projects. My most memorable was in 2013 where I prepared and coordinated a $50,000 grant with then Mayor Joyce Cameron called CHAMPS (Combating Hunger through Afterschool Meals ProgramS). This program is a partnership between Trotwood, The YMCA, and Trotwood Madison City Schools and provides after school programming and meals for children in the Trotwood Community.
