I was an Assistant Store Manger of a major retailer for 15 years. My responsibilities included overseeing sales and profitability for a 35 million dollar business, with 150 employees. This also included the daily tasks of monitoring productivity, safety, inventory control, follow up, mentoring, training, scheduling of employees, and resolution of customer and employee concerns. In 2014, I decided to challenge myself with a career change in learning the operations of a coal fired power plant, Circulating Fluidized Bed Boiler, and supporting systems. Through hard work and perseverance, having had no previous experience in the field, I was able to achieve the status of Plant Technician/Control Room Operator. Furthermore, I am looking to continue the challenge of learning and growing with a rewarding career in the power generation industry. I would eventually like to combine my management skills and knowledge of power generation to advance my career to the next level.
