Responsible for all finance and strategic matters, reporting into the CEO.

In partnership with the CFO a vital part of my responsibilities include translating business unit strategies into financial key performance indicators, thereby measuring and reporting to senior management on progress (or lack thereof) towards board level approved strategies. I engage closely and build partnerships with regional business unit General Managers to support and drive regional business performance in pursuit of the banks Kingdom wide strategy. In addition, my prior experience in managing projects and improving processes is put to practice as the bank has embarked on a strategic change program which includes a number of change projects. I am tasked to represent Finance on these. As the appointed deputy to the CFO I am also required to provide leadership and strategic input on financial and management information aspects within the bank, with a strong bias towards commercial rather than statutory (IFRS) matters.Notable AchievementsTranslate Strategy into KPI's - Designed and implemented a financial KPI framework and process to track and report on progress towards key strategic initiatives.Nominated to Investor Relations Committee - The Finance member of this committee to represent the bank at various investor presentation conferences held in Riyadh.Funds Transfer Pricing model - New detailed funds transfer pricing model developed within Oracle Financial Services Application (90% complete) in conjunction with input and support from ALCO members.Retail Banking Branch Scorecard - In partnership with retail banking division, led the development of branch scorecards as an enabler to increase branch productivity. Corporate Banking Customer Profitability - Led a team to design and develop customer profitability reporting using Oracle Financial Services Application.

Together with the CEO a vital partnership existed to execute the division's acquisitive growth strategy with energy and vision. Responsible for financial, accounting and commercial matters for 6 countries on the African continent, with support from in country Financial Controllers. Provide leadership and strategic input on financial, due diligence, acquisition and operational areas across the division.Notable AchievementsGeneral Ledger - Successful roll-out and implementation of SAP GL to 6 subsidiaries across the African continent.Implemented Transfer Pricing Model - New detailed transfer pricing model developed in accordance with OECD guidelines for offshore subsidiaries. Governance and Compliance - Established governance and compliance structures across the division to ensure business operates within appropriate risk frameworks.Due Diligence - Leadership of due diligence teams and processes for strategic acquisition targets in Nigeria and Kenya.Project Office - Recruitment and establishment of Project Office function to monitor, track and report on strategic projects.
