I have graduated with a First-Class Honours degree from the University of Sunderland in Computer Networking. My aim is to achieve first time solutions and give sound advice to problems reported by NHS Staff via phone or by email within agreed handling times whilst delivering excellent quality of service.During the NHS Mail Migration Project my personal priority was to preserve the integrity of existing data on the old mail system. Handling all customer calls with due care and attention is the most important aspect of being a Service Desk Technician. I own my calls and do whatever it takes to ensure the call reaches a satisfactory resolution. The secret to my success is that I build a holistic understanding of the underlying technologies that my customers use so that I can apply creative solutions in the least disruptive way possible. I take the time to verify the accuracy of the information I am provided to keep the system records as concise, consistent and correct as possible. My excellent telephone manner, my empathy and my patience create genuine first-class experiences between myself and every customer allowing me to respectfully handle difficult complaints in a kind, supportive and professional manner. I demonstrated this during the seven months I spent on the GHNT IT Service Desk. Because I have a passion and commitment for delivering great customer experiences I enjoy being flexible and innovative when adapting to changing customer demands. I am self-motivated and can work in a team or alone like I did as part of the NHS Mail Team. Such as when I operated as an independent “Floor-Walker” I needed to reach different departments and migrate the staff targets within strict timescales to ensure the project would reach completion within the deadline. Ultimately, I thrive working under pressure in a fast-paced customer service environment in which I prioritize and manage workloads to provide the best possible outcome for users.

Global It Service Desk AnalystEssentra Jan 2021 - Sep 2021I created, developed and implemented a Powershell Script (JMAL) to Automate the Joiners, Movers and Leavers process for Essentra Employees Accounts. This ensures that a new account can be created with the required Skype, Email and File Access within 12.5 seconds instead 60 minutes. It was a pleasure to work with the Infrastructure team to improve how Essentra Service Desk Analysts across three global regions access this script securely.I also created BRNDDA (Better Reclamation & Distribution of Digital Assets) which was a powershell script that could reclaim O365 Licences en masse for the business and guarantee that Essentra Azure AD users were inheriting the right licence (rather than paying twice for the same licence!).Finally, I created PTER (Planetary Targeted Entity Recalibration) which allowed me the create 90 users for the new Yichun China site in six minutes that had the exact licences, File Access and Citrix access required to launch three days later. Before these scripts were created Service Desk Analysts needed to do them manually. Before I left I provided all documentation and fully commented code to the business. -

Bank It Support OfficerGateshead Health Nhs Foundation Trust Jul 2017 - May 2018Gateshead, North East, EnglandI was hired as part of the six-man team tasked with upgrading the trust to NHS.NET Email systems before the September 2017 cut off.My role predominantly includes Floorwalking, Service Desk, Technical Document Writing and Personal Effectiveness. While I had not been specifically hired to train users how to migrate over to the new system, I work very closely with a professional IT Trainer hired by the trust in order to make the available documentation clearer and more effective. I also work very closely with the projects team with respect to the rollout plan and how we implement that rollout plan.As Bank Staff, my role between 9am - 4pm is predominantly NHS Mail-Related. However, I often arrive earlier and stay later in order to assist my colleagues in day to day service calls and PC Builds so that I can learn more about QE NHS Systems and procedures. A typical day in this role often usually started at 8am and ended at 6pm. I also had the privilege of working as a member of the Desktop team maintaining and upgrading the physical hardware and Windows Software of the trust. -
