This includes the development and visualization of the Fragile States Index and novel indices under development. In addition, I conduct research and write reports contributing to FFP's various programmatic efforts across conflict prevention, peacebuilding, and human rights and business. I also manage FFP's internship program, write and edit articles, plan events, and facilitate our social media channels.

As the Legislative Intern for Senator Merkley's Foreign Policy team, I provided briefing research and policy analysis on a broad array of topics, helping the Foreign Policy Advisor and Legislative Aide advance the Senator's agenda in the Senate Foreign Relations Committee (SFRC). By providing amendment summary and analysis, I contributed to the markup process for the Risch-Menendez International Pandemic Preparedness and COVID-19 Response Act (S. 2297) and the Uyghur Forced Labor Prevention Act (S. 65). I also wrote vote recommendations for SFRC nominations, background memos, decision memos, hearing readouts, and daily media digests on Middle East foreign policy developments. In addition to my foreign policy duties, I provided administrative support, coded constituent correspondence in IQ, and drafted letters to constituents.

Working within Providence's Clinical Analytics department, I provided data analysis on the value of acute care procedures, bridging the gap between financial and clinical data analytics. Using SQL, Tableau, and R Studio, I defined areas of opportunity for care and cost improvement at Providence's 51 hospitals. In this role, I regularly presented my work to Chief Medical Officers, service line directors, software engineers, and physicians. My work at Providence substantially increased engagement among providers with proprietary analytic tools, improving the organization's ability to deliver value-based care.

Raleigh-Durham, North Carolina Area

Information Initiative at Duke Data+ Summer Data Scientist and Fall Semester Researcher:I was awarded a highly selective research grant to quantify vaccine hesitancy in Durham for the Duke Health system. In this position, I cleaned and analyzed maternal and pediatric private health data using STATA, R Studio, and GGplot. I Conducted regression analysis to predict maternal and pediatric vaccine coverage and timeliness, presenting 3 times for the Data+ program and for a group of collaborating Pediatricians. I guided the data sub-setting process, created descriptive data visualizations, and co-authored a project synthesis report. I am continuing to research vaccine hesitancy and uptake through an independent research study.

San Francisco Bay Area

In this role, I mapped several software markets, explaining market dynamics, highlighting opportunities for growth equity investments and producing investor decks. I was able to create a targeted M&A hit list for new TCV portfolio company, ETQ, identifying prospects across EH&S sector. I procured mission-critical data on cost structures and customer experiences for 2 potential acquisitions, ultimately contributing to a due diligence process. Finally, I reprioritized 2,000 companies in TCV’s pipeline based on updated performance metrics and I wrote summaries for over 500 private equity deals, noting missed opportunities and areas for improvement.

Portland, Oregon Area

As a Real Estate Analyst Intern, I produced reports on real estate opportunities in new geographical markets and verticals, including governmental, multifamily, industrial (R&D) and office. I analyzed the risk and relative benefit of refinancing 5 portfolio properties and produced portfolio assessments. I was able to spearhead the remodeling of the company website and suggested the integration of e-marketing systems, which resulted in a community newsletter program and community advertising partnerships.
