After completing a Master of Science degree (Distinction) as a mature student, I work in the energy reduction consultancy sector. I have now completed the ABBE Level 4 Diploma in Non Domestic Energy Assessment to allow me to conduct EPC assessments for commercial buildings, with accreditation through Elmhurst Energy. My post-MSc role at energy reduction consultancy SMARTech energy Ltd involved account management, client liaison, site visits, business development and assistance with report and proposal development and writing. Energy reduction is an exciting sector, as the opportunity exists for win-win outcomes where measures taken to lower consumption lead to cost savings and increased profits; along with reduced carbon emissions and increased sustainability.Over my business life I have worked with a wide range of organisations, including IBM, Smithkline Beecham, Ministry of Defence, Department of Trade & Industry, Reed-Elsevier, Taylor & Francis Group, MacMillan, The Geological Society, UK Nirex, UKERNA, EPSRC, Oxfam, Rexam.My qualifications include a BA in Typography & Graphic Communication, a Dip.Ed in Environmental Studies, an MSc (Distinction) in Environmental Consultancy and the ABBE Level 4 Diploma in Non Domestic Energy Assessment.
