I has over twenty seven years direct Healthcare related ICT experience having started work as a software developer then project manager with Beaumont Hospital. During my career I have moved through a variety of software development and project management roles, within a number of international Healthcare Software companies such as Gerber Alley, First Data Corporation, HBO & Company (McKesson), and First Consulting Group where I worked as a Senior Consultant within the European Life Sciences and European Healthcare practices. Moving back to Ireland I headed up software development for Systems Solutions Limited (Helix Health / Clanwilliam). A highlight during this employment was the development of a dispensing system and head office/ stock management solution for one of the leading UK pharmacy chains. My current role is Head of Information and Technology at the National Rehabilitation Hospital where he is also responsible for Data Protection, ICT Strategy and Infrastructure Design for a new purpose built hospital. I have recently became a member of the College of Healthcare Information Managemet Executives and am a certified healthcare CIO (CHCIO) and hold a P.Grad.Dip. in Healthcare Informatics from Trinity College Dublin.
