A former 3 Time All-Conference Collegiate Track Athlete, that now is a happily married family man, a Physical Educator, and Track Coach, with a passion for helping young student-athletes. I like discovering athletic talent at the early stages and helping that talent to grow and blossom over time, ie; a sixth grader, Tanya Hughes that I introduced to the sport of track and field as a sixth grader, and coached on up through high school, ended up being a multi-year National Champion in high school and college, a collegiate record holder, Olympic Trials champion, an Olympic finalist in Barcelona, Spain in 1992, was inducted into the Pac 12 Hall of Fame, and recently was inducted into the Penn Relays Wall of Fame. Very importantly, Tanya, a product of a single mom household with modest means, parlayed her athletic stature into academic and professional opportunities. Being intimately involved in my son's journey from a young student-athlete, to Friday Night Lights glory in high school, to a successful career on the college gridiron, and onto post college success, has given me key insight to pass onto others. My main website, StudentAthlete.net, includes blogs that can help student-athletes with their journey, as well as a variety of topics, from addressing the ills of today's society to Religion. Lastly, the website displays a learning concept that I created, that I call Math Facts Sports, to provide a powerful incentive for elementary school students to want to practice math skills. The concept includes a mobile game called Math Facts Football, that not only is in the Google and Apple App Stores, but is also in Amazon's App Store, which allows the mobile game to be played on Amazon's Fire TV, and on Personal Computers via Windows 11. Other Math Facts Sports mobile games are on the way to represent other sports, and there are already lesson activity materials representing other sports. Various logos and terms associated with the concept are protected by trademarks.
