Instrumentation Technician
CurrentDuties and Responsibilities Include:• Repair and Troubleshooting: Diagnose and rectify issues with electrical, instrumentation, and control equipment, as well as emission monitoring instrumentation, ensuring efficient and reliable operation within industrial facilities.• Installation and Maintenance: Conduct the installation, calibration, testing, and maintenance of protective relays, computers, metering devices, monitoring systems, and control systems across gas turbines, generators, and auxiliary equipment, adhering to manufacturer specifications and industry standards.• Inspection and Testing: Inspect and test the functionality of instruments and systems using pneumatic, electrical, and electronic testing devices, along with precision measuring instruments, to identify and resolve faults promptly and accurately.• Process Control Instrumentation: Install and configure process control instrumentation such as transmitters, controllers, analyzers, and control valves, ensuring proper integration and functionality within the operational processes.• Mechanical Work: Perform mechanical tasks associated with instrument repair and modification, including the removal and installation of small piping and tubing, to facilitate the maintenance and enhancement of instrumentation systems.• Transmitter and Control Valve Maintenance: Rebuild and calibrate transmitters and control valves, fine-tuning controllers to optimize performance and accuracy in controlling industrial processes.• Preventive Maintenance: Execute scheduled preventive maintenance activities, including inspections, tests, and adjustments, to preemptively identify and address potential issues, thereby minimizing downtime and ensuring operational continuity.• Documentation: Complete comprehensive test and maintenance reports detailing performed tasks, observations, and recommendations, maintaining accurate records to track equipment status, maintenance history, and compliance with regulatory requirements
