After 5 years of living and breathing rugby overseas, I returned home after securing the job of Development Officer at Ross Sutherland Rugby Club, where I:- Developed a state school rugby programme, giving pupils the opportunity to participatein school rugby on a regular basis- Mentored two young coaches during lockdown, who went on to undertake CommunityCoach and Development Officer roles- Delivered courses within the club and local schools, along with running UKCC coursesand workshops for Scottish Rugby- Created coaching resources for club and school coaches- Presented publicly to a variety of stakeholders and prospective investors to raiseawareness of the positive work happening within our district and pitching our brand as asuccessful, growing club- Started both the girls’ youth section and women’s senior team at the club- Planned and managed one of the largest touch rugby leagues in the country, with over130 male and female participants

While working as a player/coach in rugby in Italy, I took on the job of teaching English as a second language. This was a great experience and allowed me to use my strength of delivery skills to educate people of all ages and abilities. - Taught English lessons in primary, intermediate and high schools across the Bergamo region- One-to-one tutoring for university students looking to achieve their IELTS qualification to study overseas and a large number of Italians looking to improve their communication and literacy skills to help progress their employment prospects across the world.

Malta

Following a rigorous selection process, I was one of four people selected to go to Malta to assist in the development of rugby. Two of my greatest achievements whilst on the Island were:- Achieving the role of Lead Coach in the National Sports School, developing the best growing talent of young Maltese athletes. My coaching included multi-sports development, enabling enjoyment of sport through exciting and varied sessions. - Responsible for the delivery of mascots and half-time entertainment at an International Rugby Match.
