Leading an ownership group in professional sports has always been a dream of mine and in 2022 I was lucky enough to realize that dream. The Fort Myers Mighty Mussels are the Class A affiliate of the Minnesota Twins, making us the first stop for many players that are beginning their journey to Major League Baseball. While the Class A season is a blast, we are really unique in the fact that our organization is the only privately owned team in all of baseball that hosts Spring Training for our parent club. Our partnership with the Twins during Spring Training gives us a front row seat to Major League Baseball during the months of February and March. The Mighty Mussels run Spring Training operations for the Minnesota Twins at the beginning of the calendar year, then host a Minor League baseball season through the middle of the year, and close the year with concerts and special events at Hammond Stadium.
