Responsible for Nomura's international private equity activities in the telecoms sector. Investment portfolio management responsiblities included appointments to the Boards of 15 companies in the U.S., Canada, Israel, Switzerland and Sweden. Transactions of note include the $8.2bn "take private" MBO of Avaya Inc., the Series C financing of Compellent Technologies Inc. and the Series C financing of Visage Mobile Inc.

Tellit designed and manufactured mobile telephones for 450 MHz analogue networks before it was acquired by Qualcomm Inc. to develop a 3G (CDMA) 450 MHz handset.Appointed as CEO by the acquiring private equity consortium, which included Wirefree (see below). Managed Tellit through its first product sales to Russia and Bulgaria and ultimately through the sale of the company to Qualcomm Inc. for $21m.
