Lead two refinancing transactions to assure adequate liquidity for growth while taking advantage of positive credit environment. Lead oversight and development of company initiatives to improve talent management, including establishment of people development programs, pay-for-performance standards, leadership development training, succession planning, mentoring and attraction and retention of to industry scientific and management talent; implemented Success Factors and other tools to support talent initiatives. Senior executive responsible all financial activities of the company, including Control, Accounting / Reporting, Treasury, Tax, Financing Activities, Investor Communications, leading a staff of 120. • Led effort to bring first-time liquidity to long-term private investors totaling $300M in cash and an additional $700M in additional liquidity once second phase closes:  Completed a new $600M US-style credit facility marketed in December 2006 to refinance existing debt and to pay a first time dividend to shareholders of $297M. Managed a private equity auction process to enable shareholders to achieve $700M additional potential liquidity from a private equity investor that is near final agreement. Transaction delayed due to mid-2007 credit market crunch. Began preparing for possible IPO filing, including S-1 and early stage SOX compliance preparation• Financially integrated two 2006 acquisitions.

PanAmSat (formerly NYSE: PA) was one of the world’s largest satellite communications providers, with $850M annual revenues, 700 employees, 25 satellites around the world, customers in 60-70 countries, and operations on every continent. Prior to being acquired by Intelsat, PanAmSat was 60% owned by private equity sponsors Kohlberg, Kravis & Roberts (KKR), Carlyle and Providence. PE sponsors achieved in excess of a 200% IRR over a three year period. Senior executive responsible for company-wide finance operations (overseeing staff of 75), including Control; SOX Compliance; Internal and External Audit Management; Financial Planning; Tax Planning and Compliance; Treasury; Credit Management; and sales operations. Supported corporate strategy by managing key capital markets transactions (IPO, two major debt recapitalizations), and assisting with M&A transactions and related financing, including sale of company to News Corporation and to private equity firms KKR, Carlyle and Providence.
