I am a Mechanical Engineer at Apptronik, Inc. in Austin Texas. My current role is working at a fast paced startup to deliver on mechanical requirements of custom robotic projects for customers. This includes robotic actuator and structure design, along with assembly.Previously I was at the NASA Jet Propulsion Laboratory with a strong focus on the Hermetic Seal Assembly for the Mars Perseverance Rover ultimately tying to my research robotics work for the overall Mars Sample Return campaign. I also led many field test for the JPL DARPA Subterranean Robotics Competition team.Throughout my academic career I did Formula SAE, the SpaceX Hyperloop Competition, and many other hands-on projects including my graduate school research of building a robotic hand. Currently I am still on a BattleBot team that runs a 250lb robot for the TV show that films in a quick 2 weeks every year. Hands on, quick thinking, mechanical design and application is a passion on mine toward robotics.
