As an Assistant Project Manager I work alongside Senior Project Managers and Technical Leaders to understand requirements for projects and monitoring them for progress to meet objectives, forecasting and budgeting. This role sits within the Energy Sector, working with clients such as National Grid. Key responsibilities included:• Ownership of the responsibility for the successful delivery of my projects and assisting with the delivery of Senior Project Management projects• Development and delivery of business cases, reports and tender documents• Preparing and maintaining schedules, including dependencies and resources• Identifying and monitoring project risks and opportunities• Quality management processes for project activities and outputs• Managing multiple stakeholders, taking account of their levels of influence and particular interests• Establishing and maintaining project governance reviews, including responsibility for internal project controls, such as work breakdowns, budgeting, risk management and earned value analysis• Develop and managing teams, including coordinating multi-disciplinary teams• Tracking and reporting of management information, such as compiling reports, tracking budgets and invoices and internal monitoring and reporting• Managing SuppliersAll of my time at Mott MacDonald has been spent working on multiple Nationally Critical Pieces of Infrastructure projects where I have assisted the Senior Project Managers with the running of these projects. As part of this I would attend weekly meetings with numerous members of the clients team as well as other consultants working on the same project, acting as the company representative in these meetings, as well as coordinating with the other consultants to deliver updates and plan activities together.

Key responsibilities included:• Budget Tracking for projects• Providing assurance over the timesheet bookings for projects• Leading project reviews, including activity lookahead for coming month• Review of risk registers with project technical team including EWN and CEs• Forecasting of monthly spend profile for projects and submission of invoices to client.• Client communications and monthly reporting of progress. • Involvement in bidding preparationAs part of my time at Stantec I have been seconded into the Thames Water Programme Management Office (PMO) for the Thames Valley area as a Reporting Analyst. Part of my role is to provide the PMO performance and reporting services to the Capital Delivery Organisation, including to the Head(s) of Delivery and the Head of Reporting and Control. I provide rigour and challenge through assurance of data (financial and non-financial) and project teams in the production of assured management information in the form of dashboards and balanced scorecards. This role is pivotal to both the provision and assurance of data and information employed to assess and to forecast performance across Capital Delivery. The role enforces the standards, templates, tools and reporting timetable issued by the Head of Reporting and Control. This is to ensure consistency in information and performance as well as insight across the entire Capital Delivery office for onward reporting to the TWUL Board and Executive.

I take as much overtime as I can as I desire tosee the store achieve the best sales that it can and operate as smoothly as possible. Bycommitting to going to work as much as possible I have been able to develop many differentskills and get used to new responsibilities such as being trusted with handling variousamounts of money and completing crucial tasks from before the store opens all the way toafter it has closed.

Responsibilities: Assist operational team in delivering first class customer service. Deal withcustomer enquiries, store recovery and standards. Assist when required on tills or servicedesk.Being a retail assistant has allowed me to develop my skills at communicating withcustomers and strangers as well as working as part of a team to achieve an achievable endgoal. I have also developed and learned many other skills from my time in this role.
