With over six years of experience in the US Army and the Michigan Department of Corrections, I have developed strong leadership, communication, and problem solving skills that I apply to every aspect of my work. As a correctional officer, I supervised, secured, and managed inmates, while enforcing rules and regulations. As a communications specialist, I gained valuable experience in IT and cybersecurity, which sparked my interest in pursuing a career in this field.Currently, I am a Cyber Security Student at MyComputerCareer, where I am learning the latest techniques and tools for security monitoring, threat detection, and incident response. I have also earned multiple CompTIA certifications, including A+, Network+, CIOS, Security+, and CSIS, which demonstrate my proficiency and knowledge in various domains of IT and cybersecurity. Additionally, I hold an active DoD security clearance, which gives me access to sensitive and classified information. My goal is to leverage my skills, credentials, and clearance to join the field of criminal justice and investigation, where I can contribute to public safety and security.
