Initially brought on for steel furniture design and hold two design patents before being moved into leadership positions within the manufacturing area.Trained in Lean Manufacturing and Six-Sigma methodologies, lead multiple cross-functional teams that directly impacted the bottom line of the company by increasing through-put and capacity, enabling a jump from $18 million in production to $30 million as well as improving the working environment and material cost savings. As the manager of the maintenance department, started the first preventative maintenance program in the company's 40 year history to increase up time for critical equipment.While leading the powder coating department, worked with the knowledge of the associates to find alternate production methods that doubled their output, eliminating the need for a second shift. Utilized the second shift to bring in additional income by starting KLN's first contract powder coating operations.Moved to overall responsibility of the manufacturing area to include all associates, equipment, and product, from raw materials to finished goods as the Production Manager. During this time the plant broke the previous records for monthly shipments. Transitioned from batch to cell and kit production, reducing waste caused by storing large amounts of work-in-progress.
